- Africa’s U B U N T U and Gandhi’s A H I M S A
For beginning and advanced facilitators, we expand worldwork in this 3.5 day training to deal with environmental problems, as well as organizational, social, community and world transformation.
While remaining a practical, deeply democratic, organizational development, and world-system method that applies even where organizational structures do not yet exist, worldwork now weaves together community process with shamanism, theatre, and rational management for the benefit of people and planet.
Our central question is:
“How do we train facilitators to work with group conflict issues and complex global eco-system problems as well?
The batik picturing an African tribal community symbolizes our answer. We call that picture “Ubuntu.” (Thanks to street artist, Richard Kimbo from Nairobi, Kenya, for this 1988 batik).
“UBUNTU” is a South Central African ethic and dream of a village working together with one another and the earth to sustain itself and its environment. Ubuntu refers to the basic relationship experience, symbolized by the statement, “I am, because you are”. (Thanks to Dr. John L. Johnson and Nelson Mandela for introducing us to this ethic.)
In this seminar, worldwork leadership training integrates inner work and rational solutions, dreaming and quantum science, deepest meditation and spiritual experience to facilitate the complex web of human and earth processes. The training is enriched by multicultural approaches to planetary problems, including not only Ubuntu but also “Ahimsa”, Gandhi’s non-violent approach to social transformation.
In remarkable ways, Ubuntu and Ahimsa support central aspects of worldwork, and inspire us in the next step towards more sustainable local and global world processes. With the help of quantum entanglement and a worldwork softskill, creative approaches to world problems spontaneously emerge.
Expect about 1/3 theory,
2/3 innerwork, team, and large group work.
