Amy’s January-February class, CREATIVITY and INNERWORK will be given for the Intensive Course participants this year. (intensive@igc.org)

This class develops process oriented innerwork to explore the nature and power of deepest beliefs, God concepts and miracles. There will be a special emphasis on  understanding and experiencing various qualities associated with the deities. In particular, we shall be investigating how processwork contributes to our understanding of  mysticism, religion and science.
For at least 50,000 years people have believed in gods.

  • What can processwork theory and experience reveal about this ancient and more or less general human tendency?
  • What is the general nature of our highest principles, dreams and hopes?
  • How do they enter our moment to moment experiences?
  • Why, as Mother Theresa has said, do the Gods sometimes seem silent during times of greatest need?
  • What is fundamentalism? How do god concepts connect science and religion?
  • Each Friday afternoon class will be divided into theory, demonstrations, and new kinds of inner oriented-meditative individual-dyad training experiences

We shall consider:

  1. Monolatrism, Science and Religion. The Nature Of Your Beliefs.
  2. Creation And “Omnipotence” Re-Enacting How The Universe Began
  3. Laws, Ethics And “Omniscience”
  4. Fundamentalism + Your Own Morals.
  5. Mysticism And Unified Fields.  Omnipresence +Synchronicit

This  class is open to the general public (at PWI, 2049 NW Hoyt, Portland Or 97209, and also to the public at-a-distance: Contact pwi@processwork.org.

Yachats Seminar: Process, Mind and Miracles

The psychology of ENTANGLEMENT in Mysticism, Physics+Shamanism applied to Innerwork, Relationships and World

Study and Practice: In this 4 day Oregon coast seminar, we study the process structure of spiritual experience and  quantum nonlocality,  and explore your altered state experiences of equanimity, omniscience,+ omnipresence. Then we develop new innerwork methods related to these states +shaman-like abilities applying them to concrete inner, relationship, business, and group situations.

Our Background in shamanism and psychology, earth based Aboriginal and  modern science, hints how to gain access to the mystic’s sense of oneness in the midst of the tension and diversity of everyday reality.  The mystic’s world and everyday reality need each other!

Mystics name direct experience of a wise “something” in the universe according to their traditions; Allah, God, Yahweh, Christ, Buddha, Tao, Totem Spirits, Allies, Unus Mundus, I-Thou etc.  Such experience includes omniscience (all knowingness), omnipresence (non -locality), omnipotence (all pervading force), equanimity and flow.  Our study shows that everyone, not only mystics, have  access to these experiences in sleep, near death + at other times as well. Process, Mind, and ‘Miracles’ may be understood and useful for both beginners and people with advanced processwork or other psychological backgrounds.

Physics sheds light on mysticism. In 1935 Erwin Schrödinger, a founder of quantum theory, spoke about “entanglement”. Particles in different places in the universe could behave as if there was no distance between them.  Einstein called this situation, “spooky action at a distance”! How could such ‘miracles’ exist beyond reason and scientific law?  Today, entanglement has been verified in the lab and is an accepted physics concept.

Entanglement
NASA artist's picture

Psychology is just catching up to physics. Many ponder such entanglement experiences as synchronicity, luck or chance. We will see how entanglement is an altered state property of what we call the “processmind’’ occurring spontaneously in dreaming and everyday life.  We will explore these states, their spaces + powers.  For us, entanglement is a metaphor for the psychological sense of synaesthesia, ‘god’ experience, + trance dancing. These experiences can bring useful, new forms of awareness to working with oneself, relationships, and organizations. And beside that,  entanglement can be fun!

Each seminar day, we offer theory, demonstrations in the group’s center, and the chance for in depth dyad experiences of the theory.  Our goal is awareness: to explore+ bring important altered states of ‘wellness’ closer to everyday reality and facilitation work.

1  Omniscience and Entanglement Inner Work; Your ‘All Knowing’ and ‘Troubled’ Parts

The Process Mind: Spiritual Traditions and Altered States of Consciousness in Process Oriented Psychology

With application to Inner, Business and Organizational Work. (English/Russian spoken.)

The 1st training is the sum of skills needed in psychology, relationship work, business, and organizational work.

2nd trainings  focus not only upon the skills, but also upon the special feelings, or spiritual abilities to flow with events, signals and processes. We call the sum of these special feeling skills, the “2nd training” and its experience, “the processmind”. This seminar offers theory and practice in both the 1st and 2nd trainings in process oriented psychology.

Shamans and mystics, martial artists and spiritual seekers have at one time or another described aspects of the processmind,  naming it in accordance with their traditions as God, Allah, Yahweh, Christ, the Unus Mundus, Tao, Buddha Mind, Great Spirit etc. These spiritual or religious experiences have specific qualities in common, qualities  such as “omnipresence” and “omniscience”

In this seminar, we will show how that these qualities are part of everyone’s experience in dreaming, and during special moments in everyday life. These qualities and their associated altered states of consciousness, belong to “the 2nd Training and the “processmind,” This ‘processmind’ is not something you need to believe in, you can feel it as a guiding “force field” in personal life.

Physics. Aspects of the process mind appear in what quantum physics calls, “Nonlocality, and Entanglement”. These terms refer to the ability of particles emerging from special sources, to remain interconnected, even if one is on the moon and the other on earth.  The processmind is a psychological metaphor for entanglement, that is, for surprising interconnections, for the oneness that exists behind apparent diversities.

Innerwork And Facilitation Practice: The states of consciousness connected to the process mind give us not only a deeper understanding of Aboriginal Earth-Based totem spirits but provide new practical methods to deal with inner problems, relationship and world issues.

Each seminar day, there will be time for theory, demonstrations in the center, individual and dyad processes that can be understood and used by both beginners, and people with advanced experience in psychology and all kinds of facilitation work.

THE FACILITATOR'S PROCESSMIND: Mysticism and Reality

Inner, relationship and world conflicts involve at least two parties in tension, and the hope for a  missing 3rd. This 3rd might be a wise elder, or a special facilitative state of mind that can deeply touch everyone involved and resolve issues.

In this seminar we describe a necessary “3rd” in the form of a very special altered state of consciousness that is available to everyone, with any background or training. We call this state, the “processmind.”

Mystics name this state according to the terms of their particular traditions, e.g. Allah, God, Yahweh, Christ, Buddha Mind, Tao, the ‘Unus Mundus’, Totem Spirits… to name but a few. By exploring the omniscient and omnipresent qualities characteristic of all or most of these “god-experiences”, we will be able to describe, experience and apply the “processmind” as the   3rd.  The process mind is an organizing field principle behind many, perhaps all psychological phenomena.  Aspects of it are also found in physics.

Entanglement.  A father of quantum theory, Erwin Schrödinger described “entanglement” as a fundamental property of the universe.  He speculated that entanglement might occur when two particles emerging from a special source remained interconnected regardless of the space between them. Even if one particle is on earth while the other is on the moon, if you observe what’s happening to the one on earth, you will in principle know about the one on the moon!  Einstein was upset with this possibility. How can there be such a “disregard” for the space in between things? Einstein called this “spooky action at a distance”  and hoped it would prove quantum theory to be incorrect. But today Schrödinger’s entanglement ideas have been proven and are an accepted part of physics.

In this seminar, we will show that entanglement is also characteristic of the processmind, enabling interconnections and solutions almost beyond our everyday imaginations.  New processmind methods recently discovered will be used to help resolve inner personal, and relationship problems, and facilitate business and open forums.

Each seminar day, there will be time for theory, discussion, demonstrations in the center, individual and dyad processes that can be understood and used by beginners and people with advanced experience in processwork or other facilitative methods.   Our daily schedule will be:

1 God Processes: The power of entanglement in innerwork
2  Duality and Oneness In Relationship; the mysterious space between us
3 The Facilitator’s Trance Dance in World Events

Please note that this seminar involves altered states of consciousness and is educational training. The seminar is not meant as a substitute for therapy.

Tokyo-Asakusa Seminar:
THE PROCESSMIND: A KEY TO INNER LIFE AND THE OUTER WORLD.

English and Japanese will be spoken.

Daruma Doll
can be pushed but always returns to upright position.

Studies in process oriented psychology have enabled us to develop a set of tools that have been useful worldwide in working with inner problems, relationship issues, large group and organizational conflicts. In recent years we have been focusing on the “big picture”, that is the vision, the feeling attitudes and “metaskills” necessary to apply processwork skills under normal and complex conditions.

We call this big picture, “the processmind”. Aspects of the processmind can be found in the “enlightenment” experiences and “god processes” of all mystical traditions from around the world.  For example, the sense of oneness, omniscience and omnipresence can be found in many traditions including Aboriginal, Earth based totem spirit ideas.

Our present work studies processmind’s particular altered states of consciousness and gives information about its nature, why it “comes and goes”, and how to use it in inner, relationship and organizational work.

Daruma: Some processmind states remind us of the “Daruma doll” we love playing with.  You can push it over, but its center of gravity is so low, that the field of gravity always makes it stands upright again! Likewise, if our own “center of gravity” is in the processmind, life becomes a wind that blows us about, but does not blow us over.

The quantum concept of entanglement in physics has also helped us to better understand the processmind. Entanglement is the ability of two particles coming from one source to remain connected --in spite of the space between them. If one particle is on the moon, and the other is on earth, observing the one on earth gives information about what is happening to the one on the moon! Einstein was upset by this possibility and called this ability to know what one particle is doing by observing the other, “spooky action at a distance!”  How can this be? Today we know entanglement is true in the laboratory, and has math to describe it.

Thus, the processmind has “god-experience” qualities and “entanglement” features that can interconnect and resolve apparently very diverse and separate parts of reality. For us, the processmind is not just of academic importance, but an altered state of consciousness, a practical tool that creates solutions to even irresolvable conflicts.

In each seminar day, there will be time for theory, demonstrations in the center, individual, and small group processes that can be understood and used by both beginners, and people with more advanced psychological training and organizational experience.

THE ONE AND THE MANY: Process Oriented Supervision

for teachers, therapists, activists, business and organizational managers.

The key to working with yourself and others is to have a “oneness”, that is a deep inner relationship to yourself and others, and at the same time, to know the ‘MANY” details of psychology, business. IN this supervision day, we shall focus on this “1” (the processmind) and the “Many” (details of the work with people and organizations). The day is divided into four parts.

I. In the first  we focus on “one to one” work.
II. In the second part, the focus will be on relationship and family work.
III. In the third, the focus is on organizations. And
IV.
Finally, we explore one to one work again.

Your style and basic essence as a therapist, teacher, or facilitator flows from your deepest self, the part of you that motivated you to work with others. Staying close to this deep self helps your work remain creative and meaningful to yourself and others. Through exercises, discussions and supervision, we’ll explore the way the deepest part of you guides and influences your style, skills, and metaskills while teaching, working as a therapist, and/or facilitating groups. pwi@processwork.org.

The Quest: What is process oriented education and training? The community answers in changing ways, and each of us will also have answers. How do we learn as therapists, facilitators, and team leaders?
For Whom? Anyone hoping to improve their ability as a teacher, student, facilitator of crisis and altered state situations. For anyone interested in getting supervision and practice applying processwork to a spectrum of applications.
Content and Methods; This class consists of theory, supervision in the center, and dyad exercises to train in using new processwork procedures. Some classes include video study of work done.
We shall study how to prepare your work, find the courage and power to do it. How to deal with your own negative + positive educational history, and how you learn best.  There will be time for theory integrating new ideas, work in the center demonstrating teaching, learning, and therapy. Some classes will include video study.
The class is interactive, experimental, and based upon awareness training exercises. The main focus is on the facilitator’s own development.
Background; Processwork applies to many aspects of life; to therapy, business, and educational systems to name just a few.  Teaching, learning and facilitating process work all involve awareness of role reversals such as; learner-teacher-facilitator-client. Processwork uses awareness of fear, ambition, community, and world events.
The Best Teachers, learners and facilitators work primarily with given social, business, therapeutic or medical methods. Secondarily we each teach our own particular relationship to awareness. When we forget this, we push to change, educate and organize others. This can have value, but we also need awareness of specific altered states of consciousness to make things go best.
Please Write Arny a short note ahead of time if you would like supervision in the center on your work as a teacher, learner, crisis or “altered state” facilitator.
Check back in March for updates

World Work means finding solutions to real world issues and problems using real events and the dream-like background of projections, community atmospheres, and the earth’s field. In this seminar, we explore training facilitator’s to use what we shall define as a “unitive” consciousness, to process diversity issues. This work explores the influence of nonlocal fields on world events.

We will show how the earth’s nature, the spirits of those who have died, the facilitator’s body and community powers can help guide beneficial change.  The Bread and Puppet Theatre picture, is a good example of the how the dreaming process is linked to the earth and helps facilitate community events.

As in the past, this seminar will be devoted especially to facilitator training including innerwork, small team and large group experience. Themes will include real world  events and typical organizational problems.
